Infant CPR Training
Each year our certified first aid instructor provides infant CPR training for the women of Cite Soleil. Recognizing that diarrhea, respiratory infections, malaria, tuberculosis and HIV/AIDS are the leading causes of death for children in Haiti, we include additional training on best practises in hygiene as it relates to the care of a sick or injured children.
Alternative to Violence Program
An international initiative for which our founder is a trained facilitator, aimed to promote and support mental health, wellness and growth. By facilitating this 3 day intensive course, we provide an opportunity for the participants to come together in a safe and non judgemental space to evaluate their approach, their impact and their gain from every level of connection. This project will allow everyone who participates the chance to identify parallels in their lives, the opportunity to build on peace and the freedom to form bonds.
Community Centre
As one of the most volatile areas in the Western hemisphere, a safe space for all of our programming is essential. While we currently run programs out of our medical clinic space, but as our capacity increases for both programs we are simply running out of room. A community centre provides a safe space for youth to play, a classroom to offer our free programming and education, and the opportunity for countless initiatives. The foundation for this community centre has been poured, and plans drawn up, as we continue to raise funds for the construction.
