Emergency Relief

On Saturday August 14, a 7.2 magnitude earthquake struck southwest Haiti, killing over 1500 people and injuring thousands more. Haiti was then hit by Tropical Storm Grace, complicating efforts to search for and rescue survivors and causing flooding in the camps where people are staying after losing their homes.

Our Emergency First Aid team, after experiencing their own devastating earthquake in 2010, were eager to help in any way they could. They travelled to Les Cayes, the epicentre of the earthquake, to provide emergency relief and critical medical supplies.

Our team was one of the first to the scene to provide relief efforts, and we are immensely proud of them for their dedication. We are also grateful to our donors, who stepped up in this time of crisis and enabled us to send multiple teams and equip them with the medications and personal protective equipment needed to facilitate these relief efforts.

Our first responders are traveling from Cité Soleil to Les Cayes to help with emergency relief.
