First aid courses
At Helping Haiti, community development means listening to our community and responding to their needs and visions for the future.
With the guidance of our community, our clinic space is now being used to run a 20-day intensive first aid course for community members from 10 different areas of Cité Soleil. Participants have learned basic and emergency first aid techniques including management of serious injuries, wound care and CPR.
Through training people from around Cité Soleil, we are able to provide a service that creates a ripple effect of life-saving skills through the community and by the hands of the community.
